Head Coach Varsity Boys Tennis, Spring 2010

Reports to:
Director of Athletics

Qualifications:
University Prep seeks an individual committed to coaching adolescents. Candidates must possess demonstrated competence and experience in coaching tennis, possess or be willing to obtain valid First Aid/CPR card. Coaching and/or playing experience preferred. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, cooperation, energy and enthusiasm, and an understanding of the developmental needs of upper school- aged students.

Basic Responsibilities:
The Varsity Boys Tennis coach will be responsible for leading the Varsity Boys Tennis program. Season begins on March 1 and concludes in late May. Practices held Monday-Friday 3-5:30 p.m. at off-campus facilities.

Duties:
Teach appropriate fundamentals, techniques, strategies and skills.
Responsible for health and safety of the athletes.
Articulate a well defined and understandable coaching philosophy.
Apply developmentally appropriate and age appropriate methods to coaching student-athletes.
Emphasize sportsmanship and leadership among athletes.
Clearly communicate to players, parents, administrators and staff.
Positively motivate athletes and promote teamwork.

Salary:
Salary Stipend is based on experience ranges from $2800-3500. Stipend paid in three installments (March 31, April 30 and May 27).

William Sweet Indoor Tennis Center - Coos Bay, Ore.

The William Sweet Tennis Center in Coos Bay, Ore., is seeking an Assistant Tennis Pro. The Tennis Center currently has successful league and junior academy programs. Prefer applicants with college tennis and some teaching experience. Assistant Pro position will consist of at least 25 hours of private and group lessons. Base salary is negotiable and stringing revenue is included. Position requires weekend work with days off during the week. Other duties include court maintenance, etc.
