Please read below for appeal information.

Important Appeals Information for 2011 USTA League Year-End Ratings

USTA COMPUTER RATING APPEAL PROCEDURES FOR YEAR-END RATINGS

PLAYERS WHO HAVE A 'B' (Benchmark) NOTATION AFTER THEIR NAME AND PLAYED AT A SECTIONAL AND/OR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT MAY NOT APPEAL THEIR RATING THE FIRST YEAR THEY RECEIVE A NOTATION.

THE USTA PACIFIC NORTHWEST DOES NOT RECOGNIZE 'T' (TOURNAMENT) RATINGS FOR USE IN THE USTA LEAGUE TENNIS PROGRAM.

With the exception of Benchmark and Tournament ratings mentioned above, all others may be appealed. YOU MAY ONLY APPEAL YOUR RATING ONE TIME so it is important you are absolutely certain you want to appeal your rating before you do so.

CAPTAINS: PLEASE DO NOT APPEAL ON BEHALF OF YOUR PLAYERS!

Please follow the instructions below to complete the appeal process:

1. Go to (http://tennislink.usta.com/leagues) or www.usta.com

2. Sign in with your USTA number and Password

3. On the right of the page, click on Find an NTRP Rating

4. When the page appears on your screen, type in your USTA number ONLY.

5. Click on your USTA number.

6. Your name and rating will appear.

7. An Appeal button will be on the far right .

8. Type in your zip code and click on Submit.

9. Click on Up or Down and check Requested by Player or Captain.

If your appeal is accepted, you will see a message that your appeal has been granted. If your appeal is not granted, then you will see a message that your appeal has been denied along with the denial rationale.

IF YOUR APPEAL HAS BEEN GRANTED but you have already registered for a team, please note that the change to your rating will not automatically be reflected on the team roster. If your appeal is granted and you have already registered for a team but have not yet played a match as a member of that team, contact  leagueappeals@pnw.usta.com immediately. Provide your full name, USTA number, and your team number, along with the request to change your newly appealed rating on the team roster.

IF YOUR APPEAL IS DENIED, you have no further appeal unless you qualify for filing a medical appeal or you are 70 years of age or older.

RULE FOR PLAYERS AGE 70 AND OVER: Any player who is 70 years of age or older prior to, or during, the calendar year in which such player plays his/her first local league match and has achieved the same rating level or lower for the three prior years, without benefit of appeal, will be granted an appeal if they are promoted at year-end. Note: This also applies to benchmarked players. These players will need to provide their name and USTA number to leagueappeals@pnw.usta.com so the USTA Pacific Northwest may verify and submit to USTA National so that they change can be made.

Once appeals are reviewed and acted upon, the ratings will be updated in the USTA National database as shown in 'Find A Rating' on Tennis Link. The USTA Pacific Northwest www.pnw.usta.com website will not reflect changes that have been made to a rating after an appeal has been filed and subsequently granted or denied.
