Nearly 60 teams gathered in Sunriver, Ore., August 15-18 to compete in the 2009 USTA League Pacific Northwest Adult and Senior Mixed Doubles Championships. The event brought together the best Adult and Senior Mixed tennis teams from throughout Washington and Oregon. The adults took to the courts August 15-16 while the seniors ran August 17-18.
The participating teams, which represent various tennis clubs and facilities, earned the right to compete for a section title by finishing at the top of their local leagues during regular season play. The Adult Mixed teams who claimed section championships will be heading to the USTA League National Adult Mixed Championships that will be held in November in Las Vegas and Tucson, Ariz.
