USTA National Junior Ranking Point Tables to Change in 2012
Beginning January 1, 2012 the USTA ranking point tables for junior competition will change significantly. The new ranking tables were unamimously approved in September 2011 by the USTA Junior Competition Committee with the support of the national USTA Player Development Staff. These changes will affect only Junior Champ level players in the USTA Pacific Northwest.

USTA Pacific Northwest Team Wins 2011 Pacific Cup Tournament
Some of the best junior players from the USTA Northern & Southern California, Intermountain and our Pacific Northwest Section hit the courts at Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Beaverton, Ore. for the 8th Annual Pacific Cup. Held December 2-4, the team event featured singles, doubles, and mixed doubles and a format where every game counted toward the final score.
And when those final scores were tallied on Sunday afternoon, it was the Pacific Northwest team that claimed the Pacific Cup title with a come from behind win over Southern California by a slim seven game margin of 298-291. Congratulations to our USTA/PNW team and also a big thanks to all of our junior parents in the Portland area who generously provided housing for all out of town players for the weekend!
