Grants available to enrich tennis in your community
The USTA Pacific Northwest (USTA/PNW) strives to find as many avenues as possible to support the work being done at the local level. We draw from sectional and national funds as well as guide you toward “outside money” available through foundations, government entities and fundraising opportunities.
The USTA/PNW
Community Tennis Development staff can also provide you and your organization with information regarding start-up and expansion grants for public community-based programs and iniatives, Community Tennis Association (CTA) development, education and training, and Local Tennis and Team Tennis Coordinator grants. USTA Pacific Northwest Community Development-Partnership Grant
The USTA/PNW Community Development-Partnership Grant is an investment in communities that support our mission by linking schools, parks & recreation, and team tennis in order to promote and develop the growth of tennis. Our section's high-level priorities of USTA School Tennis, Jr. Team Tennis, and parks & recreation growth are a direct correlation to the allocation of USTA/PNW resources and the establishment of essential partnerships.

USTA/PNW COURT DEVELOPMENT and IMPROVEMENT

This toolkit is intended as a guidepost for community activists & organizations interested in improving or developing community courts. Some national & local resources are listed. USTA Pacific Northwest Court Improvement Grant
USTA/PNW Court Improvement grants may be used for the repair and/or upgrading of existing public tennis courts, including fixed amenities. Court improvement grants offer support for new construction and public court projects. Please click here for more information about the 2009 Court Improvement Grant application.
USTA/PNW PROGRAM GRANTS
USTA Pacific Northwest School Grants
The USTA/PNW School grants are designed to help you and your organiztion start or grow a school tennis program. You can apply for assistance in obtaining funding for tennis equipment for after-school and/or extracurricular tennis programs (ex. racquets, portable nets, easy-to-rally tennis balls, coaching/coordinator stipends, training). USTA/PNW Junior Travel Assistance Grant
USTA/PNW junior tennis players participating in a national championship tournament may apply for a need-based Travel Assistance Grant. The purpose of the Travel Assistant Grant program is to provide need-based financial support to players who would not otherwise have the financial means to travel and participate in national tournaments. USTA grants for college tennis programs
The USTA is proud to offer financial support and resources to NIRSA Institutional Members interested in Tennis On Campus programs for their students. Grants are available for starting a new tennis sport club or the Tennis On Campus program during fall 2008. For more information please click here or email Valerie McCutchan at valerie@nirsa.org.
