Our section includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Northern Idaho - above the 45th parallel - and British Columbia, Canada, making it the largest geographical section of the United States Tennis Association. Over 200 volunteers and 300 tournaments make up the backbone for grassroots tennis in the region. We strive for excellence and are dedicated to serving tennis enthusiasts throughout the Pacific Northwest.

USTA League Senior and Super Senior Section champs crowned in Sunriver

The sweltering temperatures were no match for the more than 100 teams that hit the courts in Sunriver, Ore., this past week to compete for a title in the 2008 USTA League Pacific Northwest Senior and Super Senior Section Championships. The section championships featured the best men’s and women’s tennis teams in the senior and super senior division from throughout Oregon and Washington. Matsuya reaches final of USTA National 12s Open at Tualatin Hills

Tualatin Hills Tennis Center in Beaverton, Ore., played host to elite competition this past week as 74 of the country's best juniors came to participate in the 2008 USTA National 12s Open. Pacific Northwest juniors excelled with one reaching the final and five reaching the semifinals of their respective divisions. Among those players was Toshiki Matsuya (left) of Redmond Wash., who met Jacob Dunbar of Medina, Ohio to play for the Boys' 12s championship. Pacific Northwest juniors awarded USTA Section and National college scholarships

Congratulations to the eight juniors who have been selected to receive $1500 USTA Pacific Northwest Glenn Lovett college scholarships in 2008. In addition, five juniors were awarded national scholarships by the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation.
